Belinda Smith
Director and Principal Psychologist

With a passion for human behaviour and learning, Belinda obtained her Bachelor of Psychology in 2009 and was awarded First Class Honours, a University Medal and the Australian Psychological Society (APS) Prize. Belinda is a Board Approved Supervisor for 4+2 and 5+1 Pathways. She is a full member of the Australian Association of Psychologists Inc (AAPi) and the Australian Psychological Society (APS), and is a committee member of the APS Acceptance and Commitment Therapy Interest Group. Belinda also provides clinical governance support to other health providers. 
 
Having worked in psychology for 15 years, Belinda is passionate about working collaboratively with people to reach their full potential. She has great respect for people’s vulnerability and courage as they proactively work to identify and reach their goals. 

Belinda particularly enjoys working with neurodivergent humans, including those with Autism and ADHD, and AuDHDer's; women transitioning into perimenopause and menopause; and those who have experienced trauma, including secondary and vicarious trauma. 

Belinda practices evidence-based therapies with her preferred modality being Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She brings a wealth of experience working with clients over 18 years of age presenting with a range of psychological, physical and personal challenges.
 
Belinda has extensive experience in workplace mental health, supporting workplaces to create a mentally healthy workplace for all team members, including those with mental ill-health, neurodivergence, and disability. Other areas of expertise include clinical governance, career counselling, suicide prevention, anxiety management, emotional regulation and self-care.
 
As a Psychology Board of Australia approved supervisor, Belinda values supporting early career psychologists and other professionals to provide exceptional quality psychology services.
 
As an innovator and leader in the Allied Health space, Belinda has developed and led successful multidisciplinary health teams to provide exceptional quality health services. She is passionate about clinical governance and creating an environment where health practitioner can thrive.

Belinda enjoys painting, photography, and hiking, and is currently preparing for several international adventures, including heli-hiking in Antarctica, the W Trek in Patagonia, and the Milford Track in New Zealand. She brings joy and passion to her work and is proud to have created Arena Health Solutions — a neurodiversity-affirming psychology practice where all people are welcomed and empowered to stand confidently in their own arena.

Chloe graduated from a Bachelor of Behavioural Science (Psychology - Honours) and a Bachelor of Justice majoring in Criminology and Policing. She was awarded a position on the Dean’s List with the Faculty of Health and the Faculty of Law in 2019.

Chloe is truly passionate about working with individuals seeking to better understand themselves and their experiences, to grow in their sense of self-acceptance, become more authentic and improve their overall wellbeing.

Chloe works with adults presenting with - but not limited to - trauma and stressor related challenges including secondary and vicarious trauma, anxiety, depression, burnout, life transition challenges, neurodivergence (Autism and ADHD), attachment and interpersonal concerns, and emotional regulation challenges. She has a special interest in working with first responders and acute trauma. 

Chloe practices evidence-based therapies including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Chloe's approach is empathic, reflective and exploratory, providing a safe and supportive environment to explore your unique circumstances and desired outcomes. Chloe’s kind approach results in her developing rapport easily with a broad range of clients.

In her personal time, Chloe is training for a triathlon. Chloe ran a half marathon, raising $1700 for the Black Dog Institute which provided much needed funds for promoting mental health awareness and support. James completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science with Honours in 2016 and a Master of Psychology (in sport and exercise psychology) in 2020, receiving a Deans Commendation for Academic Excellence from The University of Queensland. 

James has a kind and compassionate approach that fosters psychological safety, allowing clients to explore their inner experiences with trust and confidence. He is deeply committed to helping individuals enhance their mental health, performance in sport and the arts, and overall wellbeing.
 
James works with adults presenting with a broad range of experiences, including trauma, obsessive compulsive disorder, neurodivergence, anxiety, stress, depression, performance challenges in the arts and sport, and addiction. He offers a warm, inclusive space and welcomes all LGBTQ+ individuals seeking support.
 
James has a special interest in performance psychology and has worked with a wide range of elite performers, athletes, and creatives across disciplines. He supports individuals who compete or perform at local, national and international levels - including dancers, musicians, athletes, and eSports players - helping them manage the unique mental and emotional demands of high-performance environments. This includes navigating performance pressure, identity challenges, and helping them thrive in their chosen creative and athletic pursuits. 
 
James’s experience also includes working with local, national and international sporting teams such as the Australian Paralympic Swim Team and the Queensland Softball Team, as well as an elite eSports team (Rainbow Six: Siege). He brings a deep appreciation for the psychological complexities of performance and offers tailored support for performance anxiety, emotional regulation, creative flow, and sustainable wellbeing.
 
He draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to support clients in achieving their goals and thriving in both personal and performance domains.

In his personal time, James enjoys playing guitar, riding motorbikes, and taking his car to the race track.

Naomi Iwers

​Naomi graduated with a Bachelor of Psychological Science and completed a Graduate Diploma in Psychology Advanced (GDPA) in 2020. She has an extensive background in Employment Services, having worked with a diverse range of individuals from all walks of life, supporting their self-belief and abilities to return to the workforce.
 
Naomi takes a safe, attentive, humorous, and compassionate approach to her work. She is genuinely interested in getting to know each unique individual who sits before her, aiming to understand what drives them to live a fulfilling and thriving life. She believes in a person-centred approach, asserting that the best therapeutic outcomes are primarily driven by the client. Naomi understands that you know yourself better than anyone else, and through her exploratory style and encouragement, she helps her clients take the lead in their sessions.
 
Naomi practices Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and is currently expanding her scope of practice in Motivational Interviewing (MI). Her interests include, but are not limited to, neurodivergence, interpersonal and relational challenges, self-esteem development, anxiety and depression management, and vocational counselling.
 
In her downtime, Naomi is a foodie at heart and loves trying new cuisines and exploring different places to eat. She enjoys nature walks, strength training, listening to music (and singing along, especially when the acoustics are great!), and having a catch up with friends. Naomi is also looking to get back into Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training!

Lesley

Practice Manager

Diploma of Practice Management 
With over 21 years of experience in health administration across both medical and allied health settings, Lesley brings extensive industry knowledge and insight to her role as Practice Manager. For the past decade, she has specialised in practice management, developing a strong track record in leading teams, streamlining operations, and supporting high-quality client care. Lesley has completed a Diploma of Practice Management and has achieved competency in several units towards an Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management, both from University of New England Partnerships.

Lesley has a special interest in mental health and neurodivergence, and is dedicated to creating a practice environment that is inclusive, supportive and welcoming to all  humans. She is deeply passionate about working with people and takes great care to ensure that both clients and team members feel genuinely seen, heard and valued. With her warm and approachable nature, Lesley helps foster a sense of ease and belongingness from the moment people walk through door.

Outside of work, Lesley enjoys reading, staying active with walking and Pilates, testing her knowledge at trivia nights, and expressing her creativity through cake decorating.

Therapy Dog in Training

Puppy School Graduate 
Theo (AKA, Floof) is our much loved Therapy Dog in training. Therapy Dogs are trained to provide comfort and support to people to assist with the therapy process.​ When you arrive at our practice, you will often be greeted by a big cuddle from Theo.

​He brings so many smiles and lots of joy to our office, and his cuddles brighten everyone's day! He is also exceptionally ball obsessed, so don't be surprised if he drops a ball at your feet.

​If you're not a dog person however, that is okay: just let us know and we can make sure he gives you plenty of space. 

In his personal time, Theo lives with Belinda and enjoys long walks along the beach, playing fetch, treats (lots of treats), snoozing (lots of snoozes), and cuddles.
